Why Envision
Not a set of loose classes. A structured path, a coach who knows where your child is, and a portal that shows you the progress.
Five stages, fifteen levels and 240 taught sessions, from the first move through to Masters. Every level is sixteen sessions across two months.
A free assessment with a coach places them at the exact session to begin from, rather than a generic beginner slot.
Live classes, homework, tournaments, coach feedback, progress reports, invoices and payments behind a single login.
Coaches review submitted homework and answer questions between classes, so nothing waits until the next session.
Weekly academy tournaments with real pairings, live games, results and leaderboards - not just practice games.
Attendance, assignment scores, tournament results and fee history are visible to parents, not only to the student.
Full Curriculum
This is the actual syllabus a coach teaches from - not a summary. 48 sessions, 3 levels, in the order they are taught. Every session is live, online for students anywhere in India and offline at our four Kolkata centres.
Pro · Level 1
Advanced motifs and combinations: x-ray, clearance, blockade, destroying the castled king, and combinations on files, ranks, diagonals and with the knight.
Pro · Level 2
Sacrificial and positional play - the Greek gift, perpetual check, stalemate combinations, opening and closing lines, bishop and knight mate - plus mate in four, zugzwang and hard forks, pins and skewers.
Pro · Level 3
Every motif at its hardest: discovered attack, double check, back rank, overloading, deflection, decoy and windmill, finishing with hard x-ray, blockade, Greek gift, zugzwang and intermediate moves.

StoryQuestions
A competitive player who already has a tactical foundation and an endgame and opening base, and now needs depth of calculation. It assumes the intermediate and advanced stages are behind you, and is aimed at players competing in rated events.
Yes. The syllabus is built around the calculation depth rated games demand - sacrificial attacks, multi-move combinations and every standard motif in its hardest form, up to mate in four.
Yes. Classes are live and online, so students anywhere in India join from the academy portal. Envision also runs four centres in Kolkata for students who prefer to attend in person.
The course targets what rated games are usually decided by at this level: whether you find the combination and calculate it accurately. Rating gains depend on the player and how much they compete, so no coach can promise a number, but the training is built for competitive rather than casual play.
Opening repertoire is taught in the Advanced (Semi Pro) stage before this one - the Italian, Ruy Lopez, Queen's Gambit and London as White, and classical open games and the Sicilian as Black. The Pro Course builds on that foundation and concentrates entirely on calculation and combinations.
Yes. Students can be enrolled in group batches or one-to-one coaching, and the demo assessment covers which format suits the player.
Through a free assessment class. A coach reviews the student's current level and recommends the exact session to start from, so a strong player is not made to repeat earlier stages.
48 sessions across three levels of sixteen. At two classes a week that is about two months per level, so roughly six months for the full stage.
Start with a free assessment
A coach assesses your child in the demo class and tells you exactly which session to start from. No obligation, online or at a Kolkata centre.
